The Georgia Bearcats 14U boy's basketball program is gearing up for an exciting 2026 season!
What Makes Us Different
-
One dedicated team built to develop every athlete: Our program focuses on player growth first. Ensuring every players gets the opportunity to learn, compete and grow.
-
High School Ready → Exposure Ready → College Ready.
Developing athletes for long-term success with a clear pathway in mind: Our goal is to first ensure players enter high school prepared to contribute, and as they grow, help them prepare for college-level evaluation. With 30+ years of coaching experience and strong relationships with local high school coaches, we understand exactly what it takes for players to compete for a spot in top programs.
-
Competitive event schedule. We intentionally select tournaments that challenge our athletes and expose them to the type of competition that builds confidence and readiness for the next level. Our schedule blends grassroots circuits with events where shoe-circuit teams compete without requiring our parents to overspend. Expect strong competition, meaningful games, and a true feel for next-level play. ex: YBOA • USBA • Ryze Hoops • HoopSeen • Made Hoops • JRP32 (invite only)
-
Media Access: We capture game film, photos, and key moments throughout the season — giving families meaningful memories and athletes the content they need for highlight reels. All game film and media are included in your registration fees.
Development & Coaching Philosophy
Our goal is simple: Help each individual player improve significantly by the end of the season.
No player should look the same as when as they did when they made the team.
We focus on building strong fundamentals, high basketball IQ, and a competitive edge:
-
Reading the floor & decision-making: Spacing, pace, timing, when to push, attack or move the ball.
-
Defensive discipline & rotations: Individual defensive fundamentals and how to defend as a unit in both man and zone.
-
Movement without the ball: Cutting, screening, filling space, and making an impact on offense without the ball.
-
Confidence & competitive toughness: Poise under pressure, next-play mindset, and impacting the game through rebounding, boxing out, and winning 50–50 balls.
-
Leadership and accountability: Building the maturity, discipline, and habits required as athletes advance in their basketball journey.
2026 Tryouts are in early February. Complete the instrest form below!
